Job description

Resource Innovations is seeking an Associate Program Manager to join our growing team in Newark, New Jersey. As an Associate Program Manager with Resource Innovations, you will work in a dynamic environment, overseeing the day-to-day activities of a team of operations staff on a large-scale multifamily energy efficiency program. The Associate Program Manager will play a key role in operations optimization, organizational task management and workflow development in collaboration with and in support of the Program Manager and Portfolio Director.   


The Associate Program Manager must be able to manage multiple simultaneous responsibilities in a rapidly changing environment and adapt quickly to operational challenges, subcontractor issues, and market conditions. This position requires excellent organizational and people-management skills and a successful candidate will be able to effectively delegate tasks among internal and external collaborators. Experience working with trade organizations, contractors, outreach staff and union organizations is desired.

Duties and Responsibilities

  •    Support the Program Manager in the successful delivery large-budget energy efficiency programs to utility client(s) per contract terms and program budgets.  
  •    Organizes and tracks program deliverables to submit accurately and on time.  
  •    Monitors energy efficiency project pipeline and develops creative solutions to optimize operations and simplify customer experience.  
  •    Oversees and organizes a dynamic program operations team, ensuring alignment on key deliverables to deliver on full scope of client contract.  
  •    Effectively coordinates with subcontractors, community groups, and other industry affiliates/stakeholders.  
  •    Manages subcontractor expectations, communications, and resolves and/or escalates issues for rapid resolution.  
  •    Interfaces with key internal departments such as IT, data analytics and solution delivery consultants to develop efficiencies to meet program needs. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in business, energy, engineering or related field of study required; a Masters degree in a related field preferred 
  • A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in energy-efficiency or a related field required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams under tight deadlines. 
  • Previous Contract development and negotiation experience 
  • Proficient skills with Microsoft Office Suite, CRM tools 
  • New Jersey residency required
  • Interest in sustainability and passionate about making a meaningful impact on the environment.

  • Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills.
  • Client-centered and customer service-focused. 
  • Ability and experience in short and long-range planning and strategy.  
  • Technical acumen regarding residential & multifamily energy use and/or building science.  
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and self-direct your work.  
  • Proficient in establishing job and work process flows. 
  • Positive, action-oriented attitude showing initiative and creativity.  
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills. 
  • Excellent presentation skills, including both speaking and writing.

Compensation & Benefits

Resource Innovations offers competitive salaries based on a candidate's skills, experience and qualifications for the position.  The compensation range for the base salary for this position is $85,000 - $111,034.  In addition to base pay, employees are eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.  The stated salary represents the expected compensation for this position.  Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as the candidate's experience, education and location. 

We also offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes three weeks of paid vacation per year; paid holidays; a 401(k)-retirement plan with employer matching; health, dental and vision insurance; and other supplemental benefits. 

Employment with Resource Innovations is contingent upon the successful completion of a comprehensive background check and reference check. If applicable to the position, a pre-employment drug screen may also be required.
