Job description

This is a remote position.

The candidate will be responsible for creating and managing electrical building information models (BIM) to support our engineering and construction projects. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical systems, proficiency in BIM software, and a collaborative approach to working with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain detailed 3D electrical models using industry-standard BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD MEP, or similar tools.

2. Manage and track model updates and revisions. Ensure models meet project specifications and standards.

3. Generate detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and documentation from BIM models.

4. Prepare SLD drawings for all MEP services.

5. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical models with other building systems.

6. Ensure accuracy and completeness of MEP BIM models, including the representation of all electrical components and systems.

7. Perform clash detection and resolve conflicts within the BIM environment.

8. Support project timelines and ensure deliverables are met.

9. Coordinating with the design engineer for the information required to prepare Revit models and generate drawings as required

10. Communicate effectively with team members and project managers.

11. Stay updated with the latest BIM technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve modeling processes.

Requirements

Diploma/Engineering graduate in Electrical/Mechanical.
Knowledge of Modelling and preparation of drawings of Electrical Services (Cable tray, Lighting, Power Layout, Single Line Diagram (SLD), Earthing Layout, Lightning Layout plan and section, and its installation details) and ELV (Electrical Low voltage) – CCTV, PAVA, Fire Alarm, Access Control System and Intrusion Detection System, BMS & SCADA, Data & Telecommunication, Voice Communication, Digital Signage System.
Have a good understanding of BIM Standards and workflow.
Should have experience handling USA projects.
2+ years utilizing Autodesk Revit MEP, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in BIM modeling, specifically in electrical systems.
Good understanding of electrical systems, construction processes, and industry standards.
Good knowledge of preparing Revit families preferred.
Good understanding of the design concept of any one discipline (HVAC/PL & FF/Elec) preferred.
