As a SaaS Outbound Business Development Representative (BDR) at CloudM, you will be at the forefront of our sales efforts, driving pipeline growth by identifying and engaging potential customers. You will play a crucial role in building relationships, understanding client needs, and qualifying opportunities to support our sales team. This role is ideal for a highly motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced SaaS environment and is eager to develop their sales career.
Proactively identify and engage new business opportunities through outbound prospecting.
Conduct high-volume multi-channel outreach to generate and qualify leads.
Research and target key decision-makers across enterprise and mid-market segments.
Build and nurture relationships with potential customers, understanding their pain points and needs.
Schedule and coordinate discovery calls and product demonstrations for the sales team.
Collaborate closely with Account Executives to ensure seamless handoff of qualified opportunities.
Collaborate closely with marketing, focusing on campaigns and event support.
Utilise CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) to track activities, manage pipeline, and provide accurate reporting.
Stay informed on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities.
Develop and refine outbound cadences.
Participate in sales and marketing alignment meetings to improve messaging and targeting.
Maintain a high level of activity and consistently meet or exceed KPIs related to outreach and lead generation.
Overall success in the role is defined as;
Consistently achieve and exceed lead generation and pipeline development targets.
Effectively qualify leads and ensure high-quality opportunities for the sales team.
Building strong relationships with prospects and position CloudM as a trusted solution provider.
Contributing to the overall success of the sales team and CloudM’s revenue growth.
1+ years of experience in outbound sales, business development, or lead generation in a SaaS environment.
Proven ability to meet or exceed prospecting and pipeline-building targets.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage prospects effectively.
Demonstrable ability to build multi-channel outreach cadences.
Understanding of account-based marketing (ABM) and outbound sales methodologies.
Resilient and motivated, with a results-driven mindset and a strong work ethic.
Experience working in a high-growth, fast-paced sales environment.
Proficiency in using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and sales engagement platforms.
Ability to research and identify potential leads through various channels, including LinkedIn and industry databases.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
A proactive, problem-solving attitude with the ability to adapt to evolving sales strategies.
Worked with Google Workspace or Microsoft 365
Salesforce CRM experience
Familiar with sales automation tools such as Outreach, SalesLoft, or HubSpot.
