Job description

Job Title: Sr Agile Scrum Master
Clearance Required: FDIC Public Trust
Work Location: Remote, Arlington, VA

Alpha Omega is seeking a qualified Sr. Agile Scrum Master candidate for a Remote position on one of our prime Federal projects in Arlington, VA.  Federal agency requires US Citizenship.

Ideal candidate should have previous experience working with federal and large commercial clients, financial, insurance and banking clients with a strong emphasis on user experience, usability, client interaction, customer satisfaction, and a clear understanding of new and emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the Scrum process.
  • Act as scrum master on product development and migration teams.
  • Remove impediments: The Scrum Master is responsible for identifying and removing any impediments that may be preventing the team from delivering value. This could include anything from technical issues to team dynamics.
  • Coach the team: The Scrum Master is responsible for coaching the team on Scrum principles and practices.
  • Protect the team: The Scrum Master is responsible for protecting the team from outside distractions and interruptions.
  • Facilitate communication: The Scrum Master is responsible for ensuring that there is clear communication between the team, the Product Owner, and any other stakeholders.
  • Ensure transparency: The Scrum Master is responsible for ensuring that the team's progress is transparent to all stakeholders. This includes maintaining a visible product backlog and burn-down chart.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Experience/Skills:

  • Proficient communication, facilitation, mediation, and verbal and written communication skills to be demonstrated upon interview. Client-facing skills are required for position.
  • Has been active at organizing and conducting all agile ceremonies (Scrums, Backlog grooming, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives).
  • 7+ years of experience as a scrum master.
  • Must have high attention to detail and an ability to follow detailed Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Must have experience working with multiple projects and project teams simultaneously.
  • Must have excellent time management and task prioritization skills.
  • Must have customer-centric service delivery focus.
  • Candidates must be able to pass a criminal and financial background investigation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a financial development team.
  • Experience using Team Foundation Server (TFS).
  • Experience working directly with technical and business teams.

Certification(s):

  • Must be a Certified Scrum Master (CSM)

Salary and Benefit Information:

The likely salary range for this position is $105,725 - $165,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position and could fall outside of this range.
