Consulting opportunity
Building on the principles of SNV's 2030 strategy, the Global Marketing, Communications, and Public Affairs (MCPA) team seeks to harmonise and amplify SNV’s voice and visibility. Their efforts and initiatives in Strategic Marketing, External & Internal Communications, Digital Marketing, Event Management, and Media Relations & Advocacy are intended to support all facets of SNV's operations, from business development to project execution, with the ultimate goal of driving systemic change.
The MCPA team aims to elevate SNV's positioning, profile and influence in key areas such as climate adaptation and mitigation, equity and inclusion, and systems transformation to solidify SNV's status as a global development partner and thought leader within the international development sector.
To support the delivery of SNV’s 60th anniversary initiatives during a period of team transition and reorganisation, the MCPA team is seeking external consultancy support with a focus on two key areas: 1) event management and 2) marketing communications and campaigning.
Scope of work:
The consultant will provide targeted support to the Global Marketing, Communications, and Public Affairs (MCPA) team in delivering key activities linked to a key milestone event scheduled for later this year. This will include two main workstreams:
Event management:
Co-developing the event's concept, agenda, and format, ensuring alignment with SNV’s strategic objectives.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders on pre-event planning, technical support, and run-of-show documentation.
Liaising with speakers, partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination.
Supporting content preparation for the event, such as presentations, displays, creative collaterals, scripting and research as necessary, and multimedia elements.
Overseeing on-site coordination on the event day, including setup, registration, and troubleshooting.
Supporting post-event follow-up and documentation, such as thank-you communications, reporting, and event-related content curation for archival or dissemination purposes (e.g. photos, videos, quotes, stories, and recordings).
Marketing communications/campaigning:
Supporting the conceptualisation and refinement of the external communications campaign strategy and concept.
Project management of campaign development, ensuring milestones, deliverables, and deadlines are met.
Coordinating the production of campaign assets (e.g., a dedicated digital landing page, social media posts, videos/animations, infographics, publications, and event materials), in line with SNV’s brand and messaging.
Contributing to the development and rollout of a media and dissemination plan, ensuring targeted engagement with SNV’s priority audiences and stakeholders.
Collaborating with internal teams for research, data collation, and storytelling, and managing the engagement of external suppliers, such as communications agencies or video editors, to ensure timely and high-quality outputs.
Duration and deliverables
Based on the above-described activities and the key deliverables, the consultancy will run from 1 July to 30 September 2025, and we expect a required support of up to 4-5 days and 32-40 hours per week.
